Cocktail Bar, Toronto

This joint was first a tasty breakfast restaurant that specialized in cooking pork and have now changed into a cocktail bar (hence the name). The cocktail menu ranged from modern to classics, and some of them were originals from the bar. I had the privilege of trying some of the bar snacks which included Duck Rillette and Foie Parfait. Both delicious and paired well with the Lavender Hound I was sipping on. I also tried their Wintergreen beverage, served in what looked like a watering can. Very earthy but on the nose smelt like vanilla and cinnamon because of the tonka beans. [gallery]

Scarpetta

Owned by celebrity chef, Scott Conan, this delectable restaurant brings joy to foodies out there. Of course most would agree that being at the Thompson Hotel could mean some $ signs, but totally worth having the pleasure of eating their handmade-fresh pastas. Thanks to uncle Bryan I was able to try many of their pastas - including the special of the night: Rabbit Ravioli, which was superb. Cannot forget their creamy polenta served with mushrooms served in truffle jus. Enjoy the food through these yummy photos! [gallery]
