“Stephen and I are a Tinder success story! Not a very exciting story, but we look back now and think that if it wasn’t for online dating, our paths never would have crossed.” - Kathy & Stephen.

I met Kathy and Stephen at the Vancouver Wedding Fair back in 2017 and was absolutely delighted to hear that they wanted me to photograph their wedding day! We spent a lovely time back in March photographing their engagement at the beautiful Deer Lake Park and we soon got to know each other. Their wedding day was filled with so much love, laughter, and many joyous tears. Kathy and Stephen have such wonderful families who support them through and through, along with amazing friends who came out to celebrate this milestone in their lives. Kathy and Stephen’s wedding was not only awesome to photograph but also a very easy-going one! Kathy had designed and made her own flower wall - which by the way was stunning and super impressive - talk about a serious DIY project! They were up for anything - we saw that next door to their ballroom was a shoe sale in the opposite room at the Croatian Cultural Center. This is when I learned that Kathy had a thing for shoes... so we popped over next door to see what they had!

The evening was planned with a few fun games and a lot of meaningful speeches shared by their loved ones. I am excited to share the many touching moments witnessed with you all. Getting ready with both Kathy and Stephen allowed me to get to know each and every one of their friends and family, including the ones who were watching over them - I am honoured that I could be a part of their special day. I hope to photograph more memorable times with these two, enjoy!
